How a common man is benefited?

A common man is benefited indirectly through the benefits his country receives from being a member of commonwealth.

The member countries benefit from various organisations of commonwealth which work under Commonwealth Secretariat. 

The organisations are established to uphold the core values of commonwealth. Some of the organisations under commonwealth are

Commonwealth Parliamentary Association promotes the advancement of parliamentary democracy by enhancing knowledge and understanding of democratic governance.

 It seeks to build an informed parliamentary community able to deepen the Commonwealth’s democratic commitment and to further co-operation among its parliaments and legislatures.

Commonwealth Business Council assists companies and Governments across the Commonwealth, whether they are small, medium or large, to generate new trade and investment opportunities.

 It provides a unique set of benefits for building relationships between business and the public sector.
Good governance, strong democracy, rule of law, protection of human rights and respect for diversity are Commonwealth values.

 The Commonwealth works with member countries to resolve conflicts or tensions through Commonwealth Local Government Forum, Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative & Commonwealth Lawyers Association.

With limited resources, small states face many challenges. There are 31 small states in the Commonwealth.  As members of the Commonwealth, small states have an equal voice.

 It enables them to take part in international decision-making on issues that affect them, such as climate change.
These socio-economic benefits received by the nations will directly or indirectly impact their citizens.

Apart from these commonwealth organizes games, provides scholarships and many more philanthropic activities which directly affect the citizens of member nations.
